Priyutino is one of a dosen of country-houses of XIX century which exists nowadays.

In 1990 after restoration in the main building an exposition was opened. It is devoted to the life of the house, to events in the history, culture and art of Russia, which are connected with the names of Priyutino visitors. The interiors of many rooms are restored: study room, living room, dining room, bedroom. The exposition also contains documents telling about the life of the family and its connections with the time. There are portraits, landscapes, books, scetches.

There is a park with old oaks at the house. Seniour Olenin's son Nikolay planted an oak in that park. It died after he was killed in Borodino battle. Now there is a stone monument on the place it grew.

The restoring of the house is being continued. There is a white "like a roman pantheon with columns" forge near the pond. But the museum doesn't have enough money to restore the guests' house and other buildings.

There is no possibility to repair the dike and to clean the pond in the park. We ask everyone who could sponsor the museum to get in touch with us. You could help the house return the look it had in XIX century and help us feel the time they call "Pushkin time".

Priyutino museum would like to establish a contact with museums of other countries, especially with those who represent the country houses of XVIII-XIX centuries. We could learn about each other, exchange the experience, hold the exhibitions and the conferences together.
