A lot of people used to visit Olenin's house. Many of them ceased coming to Prijutino, but not the best friends. Prijutino played a great role in the life of the great russian poet Ivan Andreevitch Krylov since 1806. Krylov has been attending it for 30 years spending much time at Olenins'. Many of his poems were written there. N.I. Cneditch, who was a poet, a critic and a translator, worked in Priyutino on the translation of Homer's "Iliade".

A famous russian poet K.N. Batyushkov was a (wanted, welcomed?) guest of this house. Many decabrists, for example, S.P. Volkonsky, S.I. Mouraviov - Apostol, S.P. Trubetskoy, N.M. Mouraviov had the same ideas as the Olenin's group.

Karl and Alexander Brullov, Orest Cyprensky, Alexander Orlovsky, Fyodor Tolstoy and other famous painters of that time used to come to Olenins'. Many portraits and landscapes were painted under expression of meetings and conversations in the Olenins' house.

All the members of Olenin's circle were fond of theatre. Famous drama writers Katenin, Shahovskoy, Ozerov and outstanding actors Semyonova, Yakovlev, Sosnitsky took part in discussions of new plays, in rehersals. They also played in the local Prijutino theatre.

Pushkin, when he was young, actively participated in the literatural and theatral life of Saint-Petersburg, used to come to Olenins', too. The first edition of his poem "Ruslan and Ludmila" was designed by A.N. Olenin.

His return to Priyutino in the summer 1828 influented greatly on him. His love to Anna - Olenins' junior daughter - made him create a set of poems. His "Thee and you", "Her eyes", "Premonition", "Enrichened city, poor city", "Shut up, beauty" are devoted to her. Some time later he wrote his famous "I loved you..." to her album.

P.A. Vyazemsky, A. Mitskevitch, A.S. Griboedov, M.I. Glinka came together with Pushkin to Priyutino in 1828.

Many famous people who visited Prityutino has kept nice memories on this beautiful place, on the kindness of the hosts, on interesting conversations and gay parties.
