Dux Ltd is an ISP operating in St. Petersburg region.
The main activity of the company is the development of up-to-date information telecommunication technologies and their distribution in the regional (North-Western Russia), Russian and the World's markets.

Marketing concept of the firm is the social marketing. The company supports non-commercial projects aimed to the promotion of the Internet in the widest possible off-line audience in St. Petersburg region. The Dux Company pays its special attention to the social activities such as: environment conservation, education, information security, - and does its best to support and promote the Russian language and culture in the Internet.

Web-server - www.dux.ru exists from the first day of the company and is known as one of the first web-servers in St. Petersburg. At the moment it is registered as an on-line edition "DuxNet".

The main achievements of the Dux Company:

• The first ISP in St. Petersburg that brought to market Internet access using TCP/IP protocol (1994)
• The elaboration and development of one of the first Russian search engines - TELA that reckons with specific features of the Russian language. (1994)

• "Internet-Rozisk" ("Internet-Investigations") - the project launched by the crime investigations department of St. Petersburg police together with Dux ISP in 1999 - is the first in Russia and still the only one which aim is to solve crucial problems of the society.
